This Louisville Slugger (H&B) bat model K55 was used by former Los Angeles Dodgers' thirdbaseman, Ron Cey during the 1977 All-Star game played in Yankee Stadium.
The bat is uncracked and shows evidence of use. There are ball/seam imprint marks on the barrel of the bat. "1977 - ALL STAR GAME RON CEY NEW YORK. N Y" is deeply stamped on the barrel. Ron has signed the bat on the barrel in black sharpie. K55" is stamped on the knob end of the bat. The bat measures an astounding 35" and weighs 31 oz.
Cey was selected to the All-Star game six times in his career (1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979). In 1977, he helped the Dodgers to a fast start by batting .429 in April with a record-tying 11 home runs for the month and 29 RBI's. The Dodgers won the Western Division title that season on their way to the National League pennant.
