This Concord De La Salle football jersey was worn by junior running back Maurice Drew during the 2001 season including the historic October 6th game vs. Long Beach Poly in Los Angeles.
The jersey is made by Rawlings and is a size Medium. The jersey exhibits tremendous game wear. All numbers and letters are screened on except for “DREW” on the back that is heat pressed on.
Maurice was an virtually an unknown name for the Spartans
entering the October 6th matchup between the #1 rated Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits and the #2 Concord De La Salle Spartans. Long Beach entered the game on a 31 game winning streak and were the favorites even though De La Salle entered the game on a 116 game winning streak. After the game it was obvious who was the dominant team and who was the breakout player. Maurice scored four touchdowns during the 29-15 win and had many electric runs and catches to pace the Spartans.
This jersey was obtained directly from Maurice and it is signed by him. A letter of authenticity from California Sports Investments will accompany this great piece.
